The basic fact of the matter is this:
My twitter handle used to be @kristawilbur. You know, my name. In the summer of 2011, I changed it to @kristaonpurpose after seeing a similar username on twitter and loving it. I didn’t know why I loved it so much, but it resonated with me.
In June 2012 I attended a Women of Faith One Day event and was blessed to hear Angie Smith speak. She left me fired. up. for Jesus. I was — and continue to be — restless for God after hearing her. I don’t know how God will use me or how He will change me in the coming weeks and months and years. But I know if I earnestly, with all of my heart and soul, seek Him and His will, change will come. I don’t want to stay the same. I don’t want to work in distance education forever. I want to cast aside all of my fear and doubt and speak boldly for His glory. I want to matter for eternity.
That’s where @kristaonpurpose comes in handy. It was a cute, quaint username until it mattered. And now I realize why I like it so much. I love the idea of living life intentionally. Every day, my life is lived for that One who paid it all. I’m Krista on Purpose for Him.
